Let The Story Wave Through The Air
While walking together along the pine covered road at sunset, the man said to the boy "Choose the path at the fork". With a generous wink, the man waited patiently for the boy's response, already knowing that both paths would lead to the same destination. The boy looked up, a little nervous and chose the path to the right. "Why?" the man asked as he reached in his pocket and tied the marked orange ribbon around a fir tree next to them. "What will you do if you've chosen a path that leads to nowhere? Will we try to find our way through the woods, or will we come back here and go to the left?" The boy laughed aloud at the situation, and in his best impersonation of his father proclaimed, "I guess we have a fifty-fifty chance, I'll find us through Dad". The man kneeled low and replied "Yes! no matter what, you always have a chance, and I do believe- You'd find us through". As he looked in the direction of the marked ribbon tied around the tree, he continued. "You cannot fail, as long as you don't quit, you will always find a way through the woods, even if your feet blister and your socks get wet- you will find a way. If the woods lead to a point where the path disappears, return to yourself and re-direct your focus on another path".
This story is only one memory of a man who left many impressions.
I'm not going to write anymore of this Story. Not that there isn't any more to tell, but Story Visualizers wasn't dreamed up to tell our Stories. The dream is to tell yours.
In fact, this isn't even a true Story. The real Story is my Dad driving his 46 Willys with me riding shotgun, and us coming up on a fork in the road. He did ask me which path I thought we should take. We were lost. We're owning it. Let the Story wave through the air how it pleases. This is us...and welcome to Story Visualizers.
